DTU Civil Engineering and Prof. Jeppe Jönsson have been involved in a number of forensic engineering assesment works. DTU - Steel Structures group is ready to perform such works at short notice. In case of structural collapse of bridges or buildings it is our goal to be as fast as possible on site to make observations, since we know that the initial observations by academic experts are very important.

Egebækvej bridge scaffolding failure.
Failure was in the wooden scaffolding part of the structure, which could not preserve horisontal equilibrium during pooring of the concrete, but see the report.

Observations report
DTU Civil Engineering was not involved in the assessment, but we made a short 2 page report of our observations and took many photos. It turned out that the final assessemt report by COWI came to the same conclusions as what was evident from our observation report.
